There were 13 clean Continuing Resolutions (CRs) passed during the Biden administration, and 96 percent of Democrats voted for them. Under the Trump administration, the House passed a clean CR; however, the Senate failed to pass it 14 times. Only three Senate Democrats supported the bill. A continuing resolution (CR) is a temporary “stopgap” by which Congress funds the federal government for a limited period to avoid a government shutdown. It appears that our government is being held hostage, and the longer this goes on, the more harm it will do to the entire country.
