New to the Federal Workforce

New here, and hoping to get into the federal workforce after recently retiring from the Army after 23 years. What’s your best advice for getting my foot in the door? I was healthcare specialist, retired as a 1SG, and did broadening assignments including Chief Instructor at a basic leadership academy, and my final job was as an Inspector General with the Army’s medical research and development command. Any advice and information would be greatly appreciated!

Good Luck,

Remember status jobs pay is lower than private, but benefits are better, at least till trump or musk get meaner and take them away.

Maybe check into federal agencies that have an Inspector General. Many do. They have enforcement as well as analytical and support positions.
