A Federal Hiring Freeze Creates Opportunities

A hiring freeze shouldn’t dissuade you from seeking employment—agencies are still hiring during these austere times! Recruiting restrictions and limitations are the norm, not the exception, for corporations and government organizations as operational needs change.

If I was interested in a federal job, I wouldn’t stop the pursuit because of the environment now. If you’re tenacious and passionate, keep at it. I’ve never told folks to put all of their eggs in one basket, and that definitely applies now.

Very true, but there is a COOLING OFF period, that prevent you from getting many jobs fit you unfortunately.

But once they say no, don’t you have to wait a certain number of months before you can apply for that job again? If so, then you’re better off waiting until the odds are better.

True, but there is a COOLING OFF period of one year to 18 months of IC Agencies. Now most of these intelligence agencies in desperate need for people who hold high clearance, however the policy of COOLING OFF period prevent them from hiring qualified-high cleared people who are subject to COOLING OFF period unfortunately.
