With the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO) repealed last year, CSRS retirees now have access to Social Security benefits that were previously out of reach. This repeal restores Social Security benefits to CSRS retirees, who now receive full Social Security spousal benefits, survivor benefits, and their own Social Security benefits from non‑federal work, which aren’t reduced.
