Is it time to be building new private sector companies to replace/rehire displaced gov folks?

With so many workers displaced with so much subject matter expertise lost I think it’s time to take that expertise private.

Coming from the private sector, I can tell you - the competition will be stiff. If you’re coming from a cushy federal job or a non-profit or anything that DOGE cut, it will be very hard and you may have to retrain, even if you have govt experience. The private industry (speaking as a software guy) runs at breakneck speed and you need to know more than other people to stand out. How it is for other industries for your specific situation, I don’t know. But I 100% agree with this new, fresh privitised govt work. This keeps complacency down and the likelihood of corruption minimal when working on an “at-will” basis (meaning, you can get fired for pretty much anything). Sink or swim. The best move up and the worst get canned.
